Building Permits issued prior to January 1972 are not available on-line. Information for those permits may be obtained by visiting our Data Access and Imaging Branch on the first floor of the Honolulu Municipal Building (HMB).
The quickest way to find a building permit is by entering either the Application Number or the Building Permit Number. If you are not sure of either of these numbers, you can find building permits by address, Tax Map Key (TMK) or by entering ranges of dates in the appropriate spots.
You may also use this page to search for your Internet Building Permit Application (IBP) by entering your IBP number in the "Application Number" field below.

If the house number includes a dashed prefix (e.g. 45-1234 Smith St) enter the prefix in the area before the dash, with the rest of the house number after the dash. If the house number has no prefix, simply leave the area in front of the dash blank.
